Kristen discusses ‘Wanted 2’ rumors with Alicia Malone

Alicia here,

This morning I had the absolute pleasure of talking to adorable "Twilight" twosome Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart, who are in town to promote the upcoming "The Twilight Saga : Eclipse". I was absolutely blown away by just how sweet, funny and down-to-earth these two were. They truly and totally surpassed all expectations.

In addition to discussing "Eclipse" and the upcoming "Breaking Dawn" ("I can't wait to see Renesmee!", said Kristen; "We have a very good director behind us who can help with that" added Taylor), I also had the opportunity to quiz Stewart on those "Wanted 2" rumours and get a "Stretch Armstrong" update out of the wonderfully-ribbed Lautner.

Stewart was rumoured to be replacing Angelina Jolie in "Wanted 2" a few weeks back. One almost expected her to laugh off the rumours - but funnily enough, she didn't.

"Right now, I have two projects lined up", Stewart, coyly, responded. "I'm doing On the Road this Summer and then I'm doing Breaking Dawn. So other than that I have nothing 'nailed down'."

Doesn't sound like a denial to me!

Of his future projects, Lautner said "Stretch Armstrong", based on the toy line, is happening but "it's not happening for a while though, about a year from now. I'm doing a movie called Abduction which starts in about a month. Then Breaking Dawn. And hopefully Stretch after that".

Wow, "Stretch Armstrong" is a long ways off - let's hope it doesn't fall by the wayside (like the "Max Steel" movie that Lautner was going to do, did!).

Look out for my interview with this "hot" duo shortly!

Kristen Stewart takes off for a run and Taylor Lautners so impressed, he applauds

EXCITED Twilight star Kristen Stewart goes for a run, claps, let’s out a “whoop!” and gets a huge laugh and an applause from co-star Taylor Lautner moments after they enjoyed a thrilling one-hour jet boat ride around Sydney Harbour.

The pair headed out into the world famous bay just five hours after landing in Australia for the spectacular adrenalin ride, which is hugely popular with tourists.

As they got off the boat after the one-hour ride, Kristen and Taylor shook themselves to get rid of some of the water.

Kristen then took off on a run, taking off on foot along one of Sydney’s picturesque wharfs.

At one point she jumped in the air, clapped, yelled “whoop! C’mon!” then ran off around a corner followed by her concerned entourage.

Taylor found it all incredibly funny and burst out laughing, and applauded his friend Kristen as she took off on foot.

He then said he found the whole boat experience: “Very good.”

Kristen, wearing a black hoodie and black jeans, and Taylor, in a plaid shirt and grey slacks, plus their entourage left their exclusive hotel at lunchtime on Sunday (May 30) to board the boat, called Hammer, run by Oz Jet Boating.

The fiery-red boat has a huge shark’s eyes and teeth painted at its front and flames shooting out of the rear.

It can travel at 85km/h and can perform 270-degree spins and the boat has more than 700 horsepower Cummins Diesel engines with Hamilton jet units on it for extra power.

After climbing on board, Kristen, who had also put on a large beanie hat and shades, let out a “Whoo yeah!”

Taylor, also hiding behind some Ray Bans, looked down at his feet and smiled.

From Circular Quay, they headed out into the bay for a thrilling ride, with views of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House.

Then – soaking wet from the sea spray – they departed the boat at Walsh Bay, an upmarket area with fancy bars and restaurants.

Other stars to recently enjoy the ride include singer Pink, actor Paul Walker and George Michael.

Kristen, who plays Bella Swan, and Taylor, who plays Jacob Black, are in Australia to promote their new movie, Twilight: Eclipse.

NovaFM Interview with Robert Pattinson

ET's # 2 Bachelor: Robert Pattinson

Ed Westwick Talks Robert Pattinson to Now Magazine

Robert Pattinson hysteria is crazy. Would you want that level of fame?

“I’ve already experienced girls screaming my name, so I wouldn’t say it’s too alien, but I think Rob’s in a very difficult situation. He’s a friend and he’s a good guy. I know him, so I know for a fact that he wants to be known for his work.”

Cineplex Interview with Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart

The love stuff comes easy to
Robert Pattinson by now. What the actor’s most worried about is how his fight scenes with bigger, brawnier Taylor Lautner will look in the third Twilight movie, Eclipse.

Grisly deaths plague Seattle. Vampires fight werewolves. Vampires and werewolves unite to battle, um, badder vampires.

Apparently, the filmmakers are doing all they can to make Eclipse, the third movie in the Twilight saga, appealing to boys. But we all know this series is really about the relationship between dreamy vampire Edward Cullen and his human love, Bella. And the core female audience should have plenty to moon over when the second sequel hits screens this month, just seven months after the last entry, New Moon.

“In New Moon, Edward tries to deal with the relationship and, sort of, fails,” Robert Pattinson, who plays Cullen, says in an L.A. interview. “In Eclipse, it really is the everyday rigmarole of having a relationship, and dealing with jealousy and pettiness.”

Kristen Stewart, who plays Bella, says it’s not that simple. After all, her character is still torn between Edward and the feelings she has for her lifelong friend, Native American lycanthrope Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner). “Bella now has to actually be able to stand up and say, okay, so maybe every choice isn’t completely impulsive,” explains Stewart in a separate L.A. interview. “Maybe there are different levels of love, and maybe my ideological views of what I think you are to me are wrong, and maybe I could look at somebody else.”

Eclipse Love triangle anyone? (Courtesy of Summit Entertainment)

That said, it still seems Eclipse offers more for the guys than just a good bet the movie will put their dates in a romantic mood. The film was directed by David Slade, who last time out made the gory vampire action thriller 30 Days of Night. Slade is, perhaps, a bit more attuned to what men want than Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke (The Nativity Story) and Chris Weitz (About a Boy, The Golden Compass), who helmed New Moon.

“Different worlds collide in this one,” says Stewart. “We make it more dangerous every time.”

This time out, the lissome, ethereal-looking Pattinson has to get more physical with the pumped-up Lautner, and he just hopes audiences buy their fight scenes.

“There is a bunch of fighting,” says the 24-year-old Brit. “In the most simplistic of ways, trying to be intimidating to Taylor is just physically humiliating. In one scene, I tried to grab him and his shoulder was too big! That was embarrassing.”

While physical strength may not be Pattinson’s, well, strength, he does have an uncanny ability to brood and smoulder in a way that drives the ladies nuts. But while it works well on-screen, that low-key nature can also come off as aloof, even falsely self-deprecating, off-screen. And Pattinson’s the first one to admit it.

“The problem is, mainly, that I’m really finicky about looking pretentious for some reason,” he says. “I think, because I haven’t done too much work and I’ve become so, kind of, big, people have a hyper-judgment of you. I always thought the best way to deal with that is just to kind of play down everything. But I never saw the result of that being people saying, ‘Why can’t you just shut up? We’re so sick of the humble act. When’s he going to stop pretending to be humble?’”

Eclipse
(Courtesy of Summit Entertainment)

As of this article’s writing, it had yet to be decided whetherStephenie Meyer’s fourth and final "Twilight" novel, "Breaking Dawn", would be made into one or two films. Either way, production should start in Vancouver (whereNew Moon and Eclipse were shot) this fall. “British Columbia is great,” says Pattinson. “Everybody always talks about how easy it is to make movies in Vancouver because no one cares if anyone’s around. And it really was like that with New Moon. It was so easy, there was never any hassle about going out or anything. But it changed a little bit on the third one. “But,” he adds, “there are a bunch of nice restaurants in Vancouver, and it’s a really cool city.”

The pair views the impending end of the film series with mixed feelings. On the plus side, it will likely put the brakes on the intrusive tabloid scrutiny they’ve endured. So far, at least, Twihard fans have expressed little interest in Stewart and Pattinson’s non-saga movies (like The Runawaysand Remember Me, respectively), and the paparazzi will likely thin out once they have nothing left to obsess over, such as those still unproven rumours of a real-life romance between the handsome pair.

Then again, they may not know what to do — or what they’ll be able to do — when the post-Breaking break comes.

“I think it’s good that I’ve just been working this whole time,” Pattinson says of the past two years. “You don’t go out and do that much when you’re shooting anyway, because you’re just so tired all the time. So it hasn’t been that incapacitating. But it’s been difficult to figure out where to live and stuff; I mean, the idea of getting a house… If people are always waiting outside your home, then you might as well sell it.

“And I miss just randomly dropping into clubs and playing music,” adds the actor, who pursued a recording career before moviemaking proved more lucrative. “That’s annoying. But really, you can still do anything you want to do; it’s just the fear of judgment afterward.”

In keeping, perhaps, with her screen persona, Stewart, now 20, sounds more torn about the series’ conclusion.

Eclipse
(Courtesy of Summit Entertainment)

“The interesting thing about wanting it to come to an end is not because you want the experience of it to end,” Stewart says. “The experience that I get from it is so different from what press and media or fans or whatever see. I actually get to make the movies. Most of the questions I hear are about how specifically my life has changed because of that, but that’s really sort of extra. I didn’t know that that was going to happen. I’ve never had more opportunity in my life and I’ve worked really hard for it. So I’m really grateful.”

As for Eclipse, Stewart says that, whether they’re seeking monster action or are hungry for unattainable love, viewers are in for a taste of — believe it or not — reality.

“It matures, basically,” she says. “It takes a really ideal story and makes it a little more cerebral. It’s like, so what if you actually had to do this? It takes away the fantasy element a little bit and shows you that it’s not so, sort of, dreamy.”

Silicone Bust Of Robert Pattinson As Edward Cullen

This is a RARE life-size 1:1 museum quality, one of a kind, silicone bust of Edward Cullen, played by actor Robert Pattinson in the hit film Twilight, Twilight: New Moon, Eclipse. This is NOT an Edward Cullen doll, this is a full size head. It was custom made by a movie industry FX artist in between jobs. I was going to piece together a full statue. This is an amazing bust that looks entirely real. (Kate: No it doesn't!) The soft silicone is real to the touch. The punched hair is amazing, the eyebrows, lashes, hairline are hand inserted. The eyes are industry grade glass eyes. The entire piece is foam filled with a core up the neck so he can be easily mounted on a stand or put together as an historic museum quality statue (Kate: STOP! mind out of the gutter Kate, mind out of the gutter! :-})

Kristen Stewart Never Dates Attractive People

Kristen Stewart has never dated anyone she “found attractive”. The actress, who is in a relationship with her “Twilight” co-star Robert Pattinson, admits it takes her a while to get to know someone before she would find them appealing enough to go out with.

She said, “People want me to say that I really like it when guys are funny and dorky but I’ve never really gone out with someone I’ve found attractive initially.” The star of “The Runaways” also admitted she has no career plans after completing work on “The Twilight Saga’s Eclipse” and rather than being concerned at the prospect, insists she is delighted to have some free time.

She added in a behind-the-scenes interview for Flaunt magazine, “Oddly enough I have a really clean horizon, I’m excited about the last few films I did coming out but other than that – I always have my next three things planned out so to have a clean horizon is pretty nice.”

Meanwhile, Kristen has admitted the interest in her personal life makes her want to “throw up” and stops her enjoying her happiness. She told Britain’s Elle magazine, “It’s so weird, that you have to be worried about people seeing things.”

“You want to be excited about something, normal people can be excited about their lives, and I am, too, but it’s such a different thing. It comes out as entertainment for other people and that makes me want to throw up.”

Seventeen Magazine: Eclipse cast Superlatives

KStew shares about her lovelife on Elle magazine

Our fave babe, Kristen Stewart, is featured in a special collector's edition of Elle UK this month looking friggin' stunning, if we may say so.

In the somewhat revealing mag chat, Stewart dishes about being nervous for Eclipse, offers a too brief glimpse at her iPod, and talks in circles about a certain someone we are clearly all familiar with:

"I'm quite nervous about the third one, actually," Kristen fesses in regard to Eclipse. "It's such a privilege to be able to play a role for so long. Also, it's such a product now; it didn't start out as a product."

Geez, K.S. isn't feeling the pressure, is she? After all, the buzz around Eclipse has been, well, mixed.

But that's not our fave part of the interview. Kristen asks the reporter to grab her iPod out of the glove compartment before going, "Oh s--t."

She then launches into an odd rant that only brings one thing to mind: her relationship with BF Robert Pattinson.

"It's so weird, that you have to be worried about people seeing things," K.S. says to the reporter. "You want to be excited about something, normal people can be excited about their lives, and I am, too, but it's such a different thing. It comes out as entertainment for other people and that makes me want to throw up."

Oh babe, just fess your love from the rooftops! You know we wouldn't mind.

The interviewer then describes a picture she finds on Kristen's iPod:

"It's a familiar deliciously handsome young man with an arm around Kristen and an arm around Jella, her cat. Without saying a word, she quickly shoves the device back into the glove compartment and turns up the volume before I can say anything."

Presh or presh!

Then again, this surely must be a ploy for more Eclipse press, mysteriously talking yet not talking about Rob. There's no way they could possibly be happy in a relationship together, right? Must be for PR.

How Kristen Stewart Tortures Robert Pattinson - US Weekly "Load of Crap" Style

People Magazine Special Edition Eclipse Issue!

People Magazine has a special edition Eclipse, which just hit newsstands last Friday!

Here is what People Mag’s Press Release -

(NEW YORK) – PEOPLE publishes a special newsstand-only issue this week entirely devoted to one of the year’s most anticipated movies – The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Twilight fever is getting ready to spread across the land once again as the saga’s third installment, Eclipse, debuts in movie theaters June 30.

To celebrate the blockbuster success of the vampire epic, the editors at PEOPLE have created this special issue, packed with exclusive interviews, fun photos and scoop on the film’s megastars: Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. “Other than having bodyguards around, I don’t think much has changed since we shot Twilight,” says Peter Facinelli of his Eclipse costars. “Their personalities and their egos have not gotten any bigger. On the set they’re very professional.”

You can read more of the press release after the break. PLUS you can also check out the Team Jacob cover after the break, and find out how you can save $1.00 off this issue just by being an EclipseMovie.org reader!

Plus: Rob and Taylor aren’t the only desirable Eclipse men. “The Hot Guys of Eclipse” special section gives a nod to the movie’s sexiest supporting actors including 25-year-old Kellan Lutz, who leads the pack. Also, meet the nine newbies who’ve joined the Eclipse cast, including Bryce Dallas Howard as Victoria (replacing Rachelle Lefevre) – the fiery nemesis who creates a band of newborn bloodsuckers to hunt down Bella. “She’s such a good actress, it was easy to be scared of her,” says Stewart. But “she’s really sweet as well.” During her downtime on the set, the 29-year-old Howard toured Vancouver with her husband, actor Seth Gabel, and their son, Theo, 3.

And for fans who still can’t decide whether they support Team Edward or Team Jacob, PEOPLE offers two collectible covers: one featuring Pattinson and the other, Lautner.

PEOPLE’s Eclipse special issue is available on newsstands from Friday, May 21 – Monday, June 21.

Eclipse ‘one step away from the screen,’ says Slade

Eclipse director David Slade sent out a tweet earlier today assuring fans that the film is nearly ready and shared a black and white photo of Ashley Greene as Alice.

The caption read:

Now making the prints for your cinemas. We are officially one step away from the screen. In celebration here is a pick taken of Ashley during pre production.

I love Alice's New Look, she really seems to be a dazzling vampire..

Robert Pattinson in LA Yesterday

According to Popsugar:
Robert Pattinson had his gym clothes in hand yesterday afternoon following a workout in LA. He had the afternoon off after spending much of last week in the Ventura area getting down to work on Water for Elephants. He was the first on set looking hot and dirty, but Rob was later joined by his costar Reese Witherspoon for more filming. Reese also had some downtime, and she spent her Saturday bonding with her son Deacon and boyfriend, Jim Toth. Robert's own special friend Kristen Stewart was nowhere to be seen, but he and she will be together next month when they present a sneak peek of Eclipse at the MTV Movie Awards with Taylor Lautner.

Breaking Dawn to be filmed at Louisiana?

Two new developments arrive this morning related to the whisperings that Summit Entertainment is considering shooting the next film in the "Twilight" series (which may actually be two films) somewhere in Louisiana.

Taylor Lautner, left, and Kristen Stewart, in an image from 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.'
One of them doesn't say a whole lot. The other, however, seems to be significantly more telling as to exactly how serious Summit Entertainment is about moving the production here.
First, Summit this morning (Monday, May 17) responded to my inquiry of last week for comment on the rumors, first reported in a story in The Hollywood Reporter that relied on an unnamed source for its inside information.
The studio's statement came a few days too late for my story -- which ran in Saturday's editions of The Times-Picayune -- and it was unsuprisingly vague. Here's it is, in its entirety: "No details have been confirmed regarding 'Breaking Dawn' aside from the fact that Bill Condon will be directing."
Insert shrug here.
The second, more telling, development comes in the form of incorporation papers filed last week with the Louisiana Secretary of State's office by an agent for Summit and establishing a new corporate entity called "TSBD LOUISIANA, L.L.C." -- which would seem to stand for "Twilight: Saga Breaking Dawn."
Of course, filing incorporation papers is a long way from booking soundstages and crewing up -- but as early signs go, it's a good one that there might be truth to these rumors.
"Twilight: Breaking Dawn" would be based on the fourth book in the popular vampire-romance series, and there has been talk that it could be broken into two movies. Summit is hoping to beging production this fall.

Bella Should Have Dumped Edward Book

A bridal version of Kristen Stewart's Oscar gown

WWD/Dan Lecca

Twilight's Kristen Stewart has made teenage girls around the country jealous with her on-screen makeout sessions with co-star and rumored boyfriend Robert Pattinson. But last night at her Academy Awards red carpet debut she made a whole new audience of women swoon. Her luscious dark blue Monique Lhuillier gown with brilliant pleats in a form-fitting silhouette had fashionistas licking their lips in delight. And if you think it would make a great bridal gown you aren't alone. Monique Lhuillier showed a similar style in her Fall 2009 bridal collection that featured a larger skirt in a more bridal-appropriate hue. —Cari Wolfert

Rob's New Haircut

Tending to his weekend agenda, Robert Pattinson was out running a few errands in Los Angeles, California on Sunday afternoon (May 16). Escorted around town by his full-time bodyguard, the Edward Cullen hunk showed off a shorter hairdo as he toted a bag which looked to be stuffed with his latest movie script.

New Interview with Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner

CHICAGO — Dashingly disheveled Robert Pattinson has an infectious, high-pitched laugh that would never do for his seductive vampire lover-boy, Edward Cullen.

Buff-and-polished Taylor Lautner is pocket-size compared with the looming stature of his werewolf counterpart, Jacob Black.

Casual yet cool Kristen Stewart can be a real chatterbox, unlike her moody Bella Swan, the high schooler in a romantic tug of war between these two supernatural objects of teen desire.

Lucky girl, right? "Yeah, but that's in the movies," Stewart says about bringing to life the modern-day Gothic heroine from the insanely popular Twilight book series (85 million copies sold so far). "I'm just the ultimate fan. If you read a story and you like it andconnect to it, it probably means you've inserted yourself in the story, and I get to do that on the most glorified level possible."

Hollywood fantasy regularly blends with everyday reality for these three blazing-hot rising stars. It has taken a while for a cultural navigator like Oprah Winfrey to zero in on the heat behind the literary-spawned phenom. But on this early May morning, Twilight fever is raging at Harpo Studios as the actors file into the backstage area after taping a show that aired Thursday. The occasion? Eclipse, the third chapter in an already billion-dollar worldwide franchise that arrives June 30.

The actors are unfazed by the shrieking adoration of a largely female audience, many in black Twilight T's — Team Edward and Team Jacob are duly represented — and all handpicked for their passion for the epic movie series based on author Stephenie Meyer's four-part saga.

"It's so nice sometimes, preaching to the converted," says Pattinson, 24, the London-born overnight sex symbol and primary reason for the screams. Thanks to his devoted worshipers, he has been elevated from a little-known Harry Potter supporting player to one of Time's 100 most influential people in the world in less than three years. They were out in force the night before at a Winfrey-sponsored screening of an unfinished print of Eclipse. Afterward, a firestorm of fan Tweets rife with "OMGs" gushed about the much-anticipated sequel to 2008's Twilight and last year's New Moon.

Once Stewart, 20, painstakingly signs Winfrey's guest book and Lautner, 18, stops practicing his grape-tossing parlor trick, the castmates settle into a buttery leather sofa to talk about such topics as the iconic moments that are re-created in Eclipse, run-ins with other celebrities and what the post-Twilight future holds.

The fame game

But, first, the pain of fame that comes from being on the paparazzi's most-wanted list is addressed. When New Moon opened last fall, barely a day went by without seeing a headline about Lautner and country cutie Taylor Swift or speculation on whether Pattison and Stewart are a real-life couple.

Although, lately, the frenzy has calmed somewhat, judging by the number of Twilight-free magazine covers at grocery checkouts. "I don't know if this is the actual reason why, but we have gotten better at hiding over the last year," Pattinson says.

"That's totally the reason," Stewart concurs. "They just make up a story to go along with the pictures. If they never get the picture, there's no story. We are just good hiders now."

Such subterfuge includes neither confirming nor denying that they are in a relationship. Yet there clearly is some sort of special connection between the two, what with their playful teasing and personal asides. Let's just say it wasn't Lautner who placed a hand on Pattinson's leg during a portion of the interview.

But all three take their Twilight-related duties to heart, whatever they might require. Stewart even leaps up in a panic at one point, fearing she misspelled a word in her salutation to Winfrey. She checks the book: "Believe — ie or ei?"

"I before e except after c," Pattinson responds. She checks. "Oh, yeah," she says with a triumphant fist pump.

Pattinson laughs. "I almost spelled Oprah wrong. I almost wrote Opera."

The actors are keen to know how Eclipse played to the crowd at the screening and are pleased to hear that every element has been heightened: the horror, the romance, the three-way interaction among their characters, the touches of humor that often come at the expense of Edward and Jacob's rivalry — especially after they forge a testy alliance to save Bella from a roving gang of rabid newborn vampires.

Stewart says of Eclipse's positive early reception: "It is a well-oiled machine at this point. We have had a lot of time to establish what this thing is about and a lot of time to consider it. And they gave us so much more money this time. So that is exciting."

Pattinson, looking bemused, quickly clarifies her statement. "For the film. The budget."

Stewart is chagrined. "Oh, my God. No, no. That didn't even occur to me. They gave us so much more money to make the film look good!"

The leads did get raises — Stewart and Pattinson are taking home a reported $7.5 million each plus a percentage of the gross, Lautner gets $5 million — while the production's price tag grew to $65 million, still modest compared with similar franchises.

Yet the few extra bucks seem to have paid off, especially with the effects. Even Lautner's CG wolf alter-ego is more adorable than in New Moon. "Yeah," says the actor, sheepishly. "It was very cuddly. I don't know if that's what we were aiming for."

He waffles over the wisdom of sharing an anecdote about the scene in which the vicious horse-sized beast sweetly nuzzles Bella and she scratches his ear. After a little coaxing, he relents.

"That day I came on set and put on this tight gray spandex suit ..."

"There is dialogue and I talk to him," Stewart explains. "I said, 'How am I going to do this without Taylor?' " So instead of the actress pretending that a massive computer-animated wolf was nearby, Lautner volunteered to be its stand-in.

"Basically, it looked like a Teletubby," he continues about his outfit. "I had this circle on the face but everything else was covered. It was weird. But, yeah, I stood there and would literally bend over ..."

"I would actually pet his head," Stewart adds.

Pattinson, meanwhile, struggled with Edward's rather formal proposal to Bella, which reflects the fact that although his vintage vampire looks 17, he hails from the turn of the last century.

"I was dreading the day it was coming," he says of the scene that was held until the very end of the shoot. "The first time I read the script, I thought, 'This is impossible.' " References to "promenades" and sharing "iced tea on the porch" as Edward explains how he would have courted Bella in the old days especially stuck in his throat. "It's so earnest. I finally convinced the producers that you can play it with a bit of awareness of not being a fictional character. I'm not trying to be part of a Gothic novel."

When Pattinson finally watched it, however, he was pleasantly surprised. "It seems different when you see it."

Their profiles have grown with each film, and celebrity status does afford them the chance to mingle with their own idols. Although, more often than not, the other stars are the ones bedazzled as they request autographs for their Twilight-crazed kids.

"I took a picture with Ron Howard last year at the Oscars," Pattinson recalls. "I thought it was the funniest thing. I asked, 'Is it for your kids?' He said, 'No, it's for me. I want to have it on my phone.' " Making the situation even odder: Howard's daughter, Bryce Dallas Howard, is in Eclipse.

Alas, Pattinson has yet to run into his favorite, Jack Nicholson.

Stewart pipes up: "I have."

Pattinson: "What? When did you meet?"

Stewart: "At a screening for Into the Wild," her 2007 coming-of-age drama directed by Sean Penn. "He was exactly like you think he would be."

Pattinson, sounding peeved: "You never told me that."

Lautner joins in. "I didn't meet him but I sat next to him at a Lakers game."

Pattinson, utterly exasperated: "What?"

Life beyond 'Twilight'

Next subject. The three are actively trying to ward off post-Twilight typecasting by doing solo projects in between. Stewart and Pattinson, both bookworms and drawn to art-house fare, earned OK reviews but underwhelming ticket sales for their two recent releases, the girl-band bio The Runaways and the romantic melodrama Remember Me.

But they continue to be in demand for more mature roles. Stewart is psyched to be a part of a big-screen version of Jack Kerouac's On the Road, which starts shooting in August. Pattinson recently wrapped his work on the London set of Bel Ami as a 19th-century social-climbing rogue opposite Kristin Scott Thomas, Uma Thurman and Christina Ricci. Does he bed all three?

"Yes, but they're not like typical love scenes at all," he says.

Adds Stewart: "They're all a little weird. A little edgy. And a little nude." Chuckling ensues.

Meanwhile, Lautner — a natural athlete who played a high school track star in the box-office-topping ensemble comedy Valentine's Day— seems to be angling to become the next big action hero with upcoming roles in the thriller Abduction and Stretch Armstrong, a 3-D adventure based on a toybox muscleman.

Did he ever own one of the dolls, whose limbs could be pulled and elongated like taffy? "I don't remember having one at my house, but I totally remember stretching that sucker."

Then there is the next Twilight feature, Breaking Dawn, opening Nov. 18 next year. The fourth and presumably final book is so jammed with life-altering events — a wedding, first-time sex between Bella and Edward, a grotesquely painful birth — that there has been talk of doing two films back to back. And it might even be in 3-D. But the actors can confirm only their involvement.

What has been decided is that Breaking Dawn's director will be Bill Condon, the filmmaker behind Dreamgirlsand Oscar-nominated screenwriter of Chicago.

Have they met Condon, who already posted a letter on Facebook reassuring fans of his appreciation of the material and that the film most definitely will not be a musical despite his résumé?

Lautner nods yes.

Pattinson: "When did you meet him?" Lautner: "One day." Stewart: "Did you have a meeting?" Lautner: "No, no." Pattinson: "I literally met him three nights ago."

Stewart, in a mock snit: "Well, he obviously doesn't want to meet me."

Birthday Drama?!

Robert Pattinson,Kristen Stewart fight on ‘Twilight’ set,” screams aNew York Post headline perfectly timed to run today on Pattinson’s 24th birthday – and the day of his, Stewart’s and Taylor Lautner’s eagerly anticipated Oprah interview.

According to the report, Pattinson and Stewart “had a huge fight on the setof their hit movie [“Eclipse”] as she accused him of hanging out late at a racy London burlesque bar.”

The stars were recently back on the set, doing pick-up shots in Vancouver in advance of the film’s June 30 release.

The paper’s “source” claims, “When Robert arrived, he and Kristen started fighting. She accused him of taking a later flight from London because he had been hanging out too late at a burlesque bar… He didn’t take it well. They were both so angry, the crew had to take a break for an hour for things to simmer down.”

Wow, what a juicy story – except it’s totally not true.

There was no fight between Pattinson and Stewart over him being “late.”

In fact, a source close to Pattinson tells Gossip Cop, “He arrived, as planned, two nightsbefore his previously scheduled one day of shooting on Friday April 30.”

Pattinson was even photographed unshaven (because he wasn’t due on set until April 30) around Vancouver for a couple of days — a far cry from getting off a plane from a night out at a London burlesque bar, and then heading straight to the set to greet an “angry” Stewart.

And, Stewart had seen Pattinson for TWO days before he was needed on the set.

The only thing “late” here is this two-week old wrong rumor.

Maybe the media should leave the drama to the “Twilight” films themselves, and not create any for its stars.
